Check out these tips on some of the MOST useful features to speed your logs:

1. Extras - Repeat Trip.

If you made a trip many times this month, create one trip. In the "YTD Summary" screen, click on the line ONCE to select it - the whole line highlights. Then click the just the "cell" or area just under the column header called "Repeat Trip". A "Repeat Trip" calendar displays to accept multiple dates. Select the dates you drove for this trip, finish by clicking "Done". The trip repeats itself in the display and adds to your savings.

2. Extras - Multi-stop Trips.

When you are making a trip in the "YTD Summary" screen, you are using the trip wizard to enter your trips. The dialog boxes take you through each piece of the trip. You have the option after completing the second leg or "Trip to" for an additional button. It is called " Add Another Leg". Select this instead of "Done" and you will add a 3rd destination or "leg" to that trip. You can keep adding "Legs" if you have allot of deliveries. When you have completed your appointments click the "Done" button, as normal.

You follow a similar pattern to add multiple legs to a trip in the "Trip Builder. This is the second way to make trips in BizMile Tracker where you drag and drop "legs" from a list. This is the fastest way to do multi-stop trips.

3. Odometer Calculator.

Enter a beginning mileage number rom your car odometer on January 1st - or estimate it. What matters is the total quantity of mileage that you drove each car for each year. Now estimate an ending number; you can always change it later in the year.) BizMile will calculate the percent use for your car for 3 categories that are of interest to your tax professional. They need this number to help you on your taxes. The percent use will print out on your reports for each "type" of miles you drove - e.g. business, medical and charity.

If you have more than one car to track, add it with the "Add another car" button. It works just like the first one. Having a second car will create a new column in the YTD screen (Year to date.) Choose which car made the trip there.

4. Trip Builder

"Trip Builder" is a NEW way to enter multi-stop trips. It is a drag and drop interface with an integrated map locator. Click on the address and drag it to the Trip Builder screen. You can reorder stops by dragging new addresses to the box and deleting legs (e.g. miles between stops) which you no longer want.

5. How to see other years that you have purchased

Each year has a different account because there is a different calendar and a new IRS rate established. To see your different years, switch it in "Preferences". Log into your account. Select blue "Preferences" link which is always in the top right of account screens. Select the year you want displayed; "save" that view. Go back to "YTD Summary" screen by selecting the blue button top left of your screen by that name. You will see your new year displayed there.

All years access the same address books so you only have to enter them once.
